Contract
In November 2016, Nuclear Engineering Seibersdorf GmbH awarded NUKEM a contract for the upgrade of the waste incineration facility.
Description
The purpose is to optimise the incinerator feed and ash discharge processes, in particular to prevent spreading of contamination through the use of sealed systems. The project also seeks to improve the incineration process and flue gas treatment. The services to be provided under the project are as follows: Mechanical components for feedstock charge Mechanical components for ash discharge Mechanical components for optimal incineration Mechanical components for off-gas treatment Other equipment and components Control, instrumentation and data acquisition systems Electrical equipment and cabling Pneumatic equipment On-site installation in Seibersdorf Commissioning, on-site training of personnel, trial operation and acceptance Support in preparation of licencing package and securing regulator's approvals
