Type A Radwaste Mobile Equipment / Cementation System Design and TFA Radwaste on-site Storage Design

NUKEM Technologies was contracted by ITER Organization to provide engineering services to develop a mobile Type A Radwaste equipment.

The objectives of this Contract are to provide the ITER Organization with engineering services to develop the mobile treatment system for Type A radwaste, to refine the current cementation system design, and to develop the TFA radwaste on-site storage system. The contract was awarded in 2013 and was completed within 8 months.The project comprised: Development of the mobile treatment system for Type A waste; Refinement of the cementation system design for Type A waste; Development of the on-site storage system for TFA Radwaste.

NUKEM Technologies GmbH provided following services: Project Management; Development of the mobile treatment system for Type A waste; Refinement of the cementation system design for Type A waste;Development of the on-site storage system for TFA Radwaste; Development of the on-site storage system for TFA Radwaste.
