The primary purpose of the project is to design an industrial-scale facility for the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant to remove transuranic elements from evaporate concentrate and water (rainwater penetrating through the roof of reactor protective enclosure, condensate and splashing water for better control of air-borne radioactivity).

The project is composed of five tasks: Preparatory activities Development of design documents for the facility Preparation of technical specifications and tendering documentation Concept elaboration for treatment of secondary waste Dissemination of project results and final report
