NUKEM sets standards with learn@NUKEM platform

Our digital learning platform learn@NUKEM sets standards as a practical example in the workshop 'Shaping learning for the future - self-directed and independent' of the employers' association of the metal and electrical industry in Bavaria (bayme vbm).

The platform is used at NUKEM for both onboarding and further training of our employees. Particularly noteworthy is the multilingual nature of the learning content, which means that self-directed learning is also possible for non-German-speaking employees. Through the integration of the internal academy@NUKEM lectures, company-specific knowledge can be passed on in self-produced videos and the knowledge transfer of specialist know-how is ensured. Furthermore, NUKEM serves as a role model which shows that even medium-sized companies with a limited budget can implement a digital learning platform. Thus, learning is possible independent of time and place. All employees are granted four hours of learning time per month. The courses offered are regularly updated according to the needs of the employees and they can proactively contribute with their own ideas for topics. In addition, Hanna Christ, Head of Human Resources & Infrastructure at NUKEM, is available to answer questions from all workshop participants. "More efficiency through digital learning - with the introduction of the NUKEM Academy and learning platform, we have the vision to enable employees to learn anytime and anywhere. The employees learn self-determined according to their personal needs and relevance, they decide on the learning location and the type of learning content," says Hanna Christ.
