With over 40 years of experience in nuclear technology, my journey started in research institutions and eventually led me into industry. Today, I’m a Principal Engineer and Technical Project Manager, working across every stage of the nuclear fuel cycle — from front-end processes and reactor design to back-end solutions. I’m proud to be part of the NUKEM family.
I began my career at NUKEM in 2012 as an apprentice Technical Product Designer. More than ten years later, I can say with confidence that choosing NUKEM was the best decision I made. The company has supported me not only throughout my training but also in my ongoing growth, offering exciting projects and real challenges along the way.
NUKEM has given me the chance to continuously develop and expand my responsibilities beyond Human Resources, into areas like Infrastructure and Legal. I’ve been involved in many exciting projects and am eager to continue helping shape NUKEM’s future.
The Technical Product Designer apprenticeship at NUKEM is truly hands-on. It teaches you to understand technical systems, think creatively, and develop smart solutions. Plus, you get valuable exposure to many parts of the company — from development and manufacturing right through to final approval.
My journey at NUKEM began as an intern, followed by the opportunity to complete my master’s thesis within the company. This experience allowed me to combine academic knowledge with practical, real-world projects. With ongoing development, strong support, and valuable training opportunities, I have grown into my current role as a process engineer—taking on new challenges and contributing to NUKEM’s continued success.
Over the past ten years at NUKEM, I’ve successfully delivered projects in a variety of countries — a rewarding experience that has shaped me both professionally and personally.
