Contract

July 2016, a contract was awarded by the Kozloduy NPP to a NUKEM-led consortium comprising EWN GmbH and NEOLANT JSC for elaboration of a design to dismantle equipment in the controlled areas of KNPP units 1 to 4.

Description

Apart from the collection, processing and recording of data, the consulting contract also contains provisions for the preparation of design documentation for a safe dismantling of contaminated and activated systems.

Services

The services to be provided by the consortium include the following:

  • A report comprising and evaluating the results from the gamma scanning of all process and auxiliary systems, equipment, pipelines and all relevant rooms in the Reactor Building of Unit 1 and Auxiliary Building.
  • A 3-D model and a Uniform Information Model (UIM) for the Reactor Buildings of Units 1 to 4 and Auxiliary Buildings 1 and 2 and preparation of associated documentation.
  • A design documentation package for the dismantling work at Auxiliary Building 1, including Safety Analysis Report.
  • A design documentation package for the dismantling of all systems, plant and equipment in the Reactor Building of Unit 1, which are not part of the primary circuit and its associated components, including Safety Analysis Report.
  • A design documentation package for the dismantling of the primary circuit and the components in the Reactor Building of Unit 1, including Safety Analysis Report.
  • Technical specifications for the equipment and tools required to perform the dismantling activities.
