Effective from 1 January 2014, the newly founded NUKEM Technologies Engineering Services GmbH, a subsidiary wholly owned by NUKEM Technologies GmbH, took over all NUKEM Technologies’ contracts in the area of design and engineering solutions. NUKEM Technologies GmbH will now focus on turn-key projects and assume responsibility for international business outside the German-speaking countries for both of the companies.
The new structure will serve to optimise internal business processes. Both of the companies will operate in the market under the well-recognised umbrella brand. The company’s traditional business in the areas of radioactive waste management, spent fuel handling and decommissioning of nuclear installations will be continued
As the spin-off was listed in the register of companies on 10 July 2014, the reorganization has now taken legal effect. Mr. Thomas Seipolt, a long time Engineering Manager of NUKEM Technologies GmbH, has been appointed Managing Director of NUKEM Technologies Engineering Services GmbH.
