The FREMES EcoProbe is an advanced enhancement of the patented FREMES-BM10 Belt Conveyor Free Release Measurement System.

This fully automated system enables precise bulk material analysis and reliably detects hydrocarbon contamination. Future updates will further expand its detection capabilities to include additional contaminants.

The primary objective of the FREMES EcoProbe is to support the efficient remediation of large areas potentially contaminated by industrial activities. By enabling thorough and accurate analysis of debris, the system lays the groundwork for safe, environmentally responsible disposal.

The EcoProbe’s optical measurement system, combined with AI-supported analysis of measurement results, enables continuous, online characterization of materials. This ensures high operational efficiency and precision, especially in the sorting and clearance measurement of bulk materials such as soil or crushed building materials.

The underlying FREMES-BM10 measurement system has already been successfully implemented worldwide. Several hundred thousand tons of bulk material have been cleared using this system, which is employed on two continents for the radiological characterization and sorting of large volumes of bulk materials. The EcoProbe builds on this proven technology, now adding the capability to detect hydrocarbons.

Advantages of the FREMES EcoProbe:

  • Automatic detection of hydrocarbon contamination
  • Characterization of 100% of the tested material
  • Reduction in the volume of waste requiring complex and costly disposal
  • Customizable waste categorization to meet client-specific requirements and regulations
  • Continuous operation enabled by AI-driven online characterization
  • Built on the globally proven FREMES-BM10 system
  • Enhanced efficiency in remediation processes through fully automated measurements

In summary, the FREMES EcoProbe offers a customized, efficient solution for precise analysis and classification of bulk materials, optimally adaptable to specific project needs.
